Single-Point Focus Drill
A short attention exercise to strengthen concentration and reduce distractibility.
Why single-point focus helps
Training your attention on a single object — like the breath, a candle flame, or a small visual anchor — increases the ability to return to a task when distracted.
Practice
Choose one anchor and set a short timer. When attention drifts, notice and gently return to the anchor.
- Choose an anchor
- Set a 5-minute timer
- Return gently when distracted
Guided practice
Follow the steps below — use Start to run a simple timer or step through manually.
- 1. Pick an anchor (breath or object)
- 2. Set a 5-minute timer
- 3. Notice distraction, return to anchor
